Defne Samyeli

Defne Samyeli was born on July 1, 1972, in Istanbul, Turkey. She graduated from the prestigious Boğaziçi University with a degree in Business Administration. She began her career in 1991 as a television presenter, gaining popularity with programs such as "İyi Günler Türkiye" and "Show'da Show". She worked as a news anchor for Kanal D and Show TV, receiving international awards at the New York TV Festivals. She worked as a columnist for Milliyet, Güneş, and Radikal newspapers and published a book, "Kısa Lafın Uzunu" (2014). As an actress, she appeared in the series "Babam Sınıfta Kaldı" (2013), "Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu" (Valley of the Wolves: Ambush, 2015-2016), "İstanbullu Gelin" (Istanbul Bride, 2018), "Sol Yanım" (My Left Side, 2020-2021), and "Aldatmak" (Deception, 2022-2023). In 2023, she played the lead role in the film "Prestij Meselesi" (A Matter of Prestige). She also released several music singles, including "Son Arzum" (2015), "Ağla Ağla" (2019), and "Abidin" (2022). She is passionate about sports, especially fitness, and actively maintains her physical form. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and writing. She was married to architect Eren Talu from 1995 to 2011 and has two daughters, Deren and Derin. She has been in a relationship with comedian Cem Yılmaz since 2018.
