Gamze Süner Atay

Gamze Süner Atay was born in 1969 in Izmir, Turkey. She completed her secondary and high school education at Izmir Private Turkish College and later graduated from Dokuz Eylül University's Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts, with a major in Theatre and Acting. She also received additional theatre training in London. Her career encompasses numerous theatre plays, TV series, and films. Notable works include roles in series such as "Aşk Yakar" (2008-2009), "Ay Tutulması" (2011-2012), "Fatih Harbiye" (2013-2015), "Kış Güneşi" (2016), for which she won the Seyirci Platformu Best Performance Award, "Lise Devriyesi" (2017), "Vuslat" (2018-2020), "Yasak Elma" (2021), and "Tuzak" (2022-2023). She also appeared in films "Av Mevsimi" (2010) and "Özür Dilerim" (2013). In 2017, she acted, directed, and adapted the one-woman play "Törpü", and in 2025, she is performing in the play "Terapi". She is the founder and instructor of the An Drama Acting Workshop, where she trains professional actors and beginners. Beyond acting, Gamze is an author, having published a poetry and essay collection titled "5. Kattan Düştüm Deliyim O Zaman" in 2022. She conducts personal development workshops for corporate groups and individual participants. Before moving to Istanbul in 2008, she worked at the Izmir Art Theatre, taught drama classes, and wrote a column for the Yenigün newspaper. The actress leads an active lifestyle, exercises, travels, and enthusiastically discovers new places — she has particularly expressed admiration for Trabzon, where she traveled for filming. According to her colleagues, she is known for her warmth, positive energy, and ability to create an atmosphere of collaboration and support on set. Gamze Süner Atay is married — her double surname, combining her maiden name Süner and her husband's surname Atay, confirms this. She is a mother and has a son. The actress actively shares moments from her family life on social media, showing genuine relationships with her husband and son.
