Koray Şahinbaş

Koray Şahinbaş was born on 6 July 1972 in Istanbul. He trained as an actor at the theatre department of Mimar Sinan University. In 1989, at age 17, he gained his first professional stage experience at the Istanbul State Theatre. In 1991 he underwent specialized training in dubbing and voice acting. He has appeared in film and television since 2008. He gained wide recognition for the role of Raşit in the series "Dila Hanım" (2012). He appeared in the series "Emanet" (2016, as Commissioner Cemal), "Savaşçı," "Diriliş: Ertuğrul" (Resurrection: Ertuğrul, as Tara), "Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz" (as Zeki Sivri), and "Baraj" (as Hakan). He also appeared in the web series "Fi" and "Sahipli." His film credits include "Nerdesin Firuze?" (2004), "Musallat 2: Lanet" (2011), "Siccin" (2014), and "Siccin: Büyü Haramdır." He currently appears in the NOW TV series "Yeraltı" (2026) as Efraim. Besides acting, he is also involved in music and composing — he wrote music for, among other productions, the series "Emanet." He is active on Instagram but tends to keep his personal life away from the media. He has a son, Oğulcan Şahinbaş, from his first marriage. In 2015 he married actress Yonca Cevher (now Yonca Şahinbaş), who also works in theatre and television.
