Tugay Mercan

Tugay Mercan was born on December 10, 1982, in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed his secondary school studies at the Bahçelievler Vocational High School of Commerce (Bahçelievler Ticaret Meslek Lisesi). Pursuing his passion for performance, he enrolled in the Theater Department at Haliç University (Haliç Üniversitesi Tiyatro ve Oyunculuk Bölümü). While still a conservatory student, he launched his professional stage career by performing with the Bakırköy Municipal Theaters (Bakırköy Belediye Tiyatroları), where he honed his skills. The actor's rich filmography features dozens of highly successful characters across television and major digital platforms. He achieved widespread national prominence for his breakout portrayal of Zeki in the hit crime drama series "Suskunlar" (2012).
