Uzay Kanat Heparı

Uzay Kanat Heparı was born on 5 January 1995 in Istanbul. He is the son of renowned musician and arranger Uzay Heparı, who worked with major names in Turkish music such as Sezen Aksu, Sertab Erener, and Levent Yüksel, and of fashion designer and journalist Zeynep Tunuslu. His father died in a motorcycle accident a few months before his son's birth, when his mother was three months pregnant. He completed his primary and secondary education in Istanbul, attending Enka High School, from which a scholarship took him to a private boys' boarding school in New York State, USA, to continue his studies. He earned his university degree in TV Journalism and Programming at Bilgi University in Istanbul. In 2012 he worked as a model at Istanbul Fashion Week and appeared on the cover of the magazine "Adam In Town." He began his acting career in 2015 with the role of Mert in Kanal D's popular youth series "Güneşin Kızları" (Daughters of the Sun), preparing for the role under acting coach Burak Sarımola. The series' cast also included Hande Erçel, Burcu Özberk, and Berk Atan. He later appeared in the series "Çalınmış Hayatlar." In his free time he plays piano and bass guitar, carrying on his father's musical legacy, and played basketball for the Darüşşafaka team during his school years. He is also involved in competitive horse riding.
