Twist of Fate

Plot: Ada grew up surrounded by women who firmly believe in a family myth: if a woman does not marry her first love, she is doomed to be unhappy forever. Driven by this belief, Ada enters into a fake marriage with her college sweetheart Rüzgar—an international student—so he can gain citizenship, faithfully waiting for the day he will truly fall for her. However, Rüzgar betrays her and falls in love with a female colleague instead. Determined to win back her first love, Ada gets a job at the same digital media company, becoming the personal assistant to Bora, the handsome, strict, and cynical boss who completely disbelieves in love. As Ada schemes to salvage her first love, she gets entangled in hilarious misunderstandings and slowly finds herself falling for Bora. Trivia: The series is an original romantic comedy produced by ARC Film, written by Erkan Birgören and Tuna Küçükyener. It stars Cemre Baysel and Aytaç Şaşmaz in the lead roles. Cemre Baysel won the prestigious Golden Butterfly Award (Altın Kelebek) for Best Actress in a Romantic Comedy for her memorable performance as Ada. The show generated a massive fan base internationally and was distributed to numerous countries across Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. Notably, the fairytale romance on screen transcended into real life, as lead actors Aytaç Şaşmaz and Cemre Baysel started dating during the production, becoming one of the most covered celebrity couples in Turkey.
