Woman

The series centers on Bahar Çeşmeli, a young, resilient, and deeply loving mother who faces the ultimate challenge of raising her two young children, Nisan and Doruk, completely alone. Her life shattered after the sudden and mysterious death of her husband, Sarp, whom she loved deeply. Forced to move into a dangerous, poverty-stricken neighborhood of Istanbul, Bahar works tirelessly as a seamstress, sacrificing her own health to shield her children from their harsh financial reality, turning their daily struggles into imaginative games. Bahar's fragile world is pushed to the brink when she is diagnosed with a severe, life-threatening bone marrow disease. To survive for her children, she is forced to reconnect with her estranged mother, Hatice, who abandoned her when she was a child to start a new family. This family reunion brings Bahar face-to-face with Şirin, her deeply disturbed, narcissistic, and malicious half-sister. The dark core of the narrative reveals that Şirin harbors a dangerous obsession with Sarp and played a direct, fatal role in the accident that allegedly took his life. Spanning three emotionally gripping seasons, "Kadın" tracks Bahar's journey through betrayal, physical deterioration, and unexpected high-stakes secrets when pieces of her past resurface. Supported by Arif, a kind-hearted local coffee shop owner, Bahar proves the boundless power of maternal devotion. The show is an official adaptation of the acclaimed Japanese drama "Woman", earning worldwide praise for its profound emotional depth.
