Room 309

Plot: Lale is a young woman who gives up on romance after being left at the altar by her fiancé. Pressured by her mother, she reluctantly agrees to go on a blind date with a doctor named Onur. At the restaurant, a mix-up occurs, and Lale accidentally sits at the table of a different Onur—a wealthy heir forced into dating by his own family. After drinking too much, the two end up spending the night together in Room 309 of a luxury hotel. They part ways in the morning believing they will never see each other again, but weeks later Lale discovers she is pregnant. Coincidentally, Onur's late grandfather's will states that whichever grandson marries and has a child first will inherit the family’s multi-million dollar business empire. Trivia: Produced by Gold Film for FOX Turkey (now NOW), "No: 309" was written by sisters Aslı Zengin and Banu Zengin. Starring Demet Özdemir and Furkan Palalı in the lead roles alongside veteran actress Sumru Yavrucuk, the romantic comedy ran for 2 highly successful seasons (65 episodes). The series achieved massive ratings both in Turkey and internationally (broadcast in Latin America and Southern Europe under the title *Habitación 309* / *Room 309*), establishing Demet Özdemir as one of the leading romantic-comedy actresses of Turkish television.
