Another Self / Another "Me"

The story revolves around three inseparable best friends—Ada, Sevgi, and Leyla—whose unbreakable bond has sustained them since their university days. Ada is a brilliant, highly disciplined general surgeon who relies strictly on science and medical facts. Leyla is a cheerful housewife who chose family life over a career, anchoring her identity entirely to her husband and son. Sevgi is a successful lawyer whose ambitious corporate life comes to an abrupt halt when she is diagnosed with a severe recurrence of cancer. When conventional modern medicine fails to improve her condition, Sevgi rejects further hospital treatments and decides to travel to the idyllic coastal town of Ayvalık. She is searching for Zaman, a mysterious spiritual guide who heals people by helping them confront their ancestral trauma through systemic family constellations. Despite Ada’s fierce professional skepticism, the three friends embark on a road trip to Ayvalık to support Sevgi. Spanning three seasons, Zaman’s sessions force the three women to look beyond their physical symptoms. They discover that their current life choices, emotional blockages, health issues, and relationship failures are deeply rooted in the unspoken tragedies, secrets, and displacements suffered by their ancestors generations ago. Ayvalık becomes a sanctuary of lifelong transformation. In the grand finale, after facing heavy emotional losses, relationship shifts, and deep-rooted secrets, each woman successfully breaks her ancestral chain, discovering true holistic healing, inner peace, and the power of starting anew.
