A Miracle

The story follows Ali Vefa, a brilliant young medical school graduate who suffers from autism and savant syndrome. Having survived a traumatic childhood marked by family rejection and the tragic loss of his older brother, Ali was raised in an orphanage. Under the guidance of Dr. Adil, a compassionate chief physician who became a father figure to him, Ali develops an extraordinary understanding of medicine, possessing photographic memory and an uncanny ability to visualize complex surgical procedures in 3D. Dr. Adil fights to secure Ali a six-month probationary residency at the prestigious Berhayat Hospital in Istanbul. However, the hospital board and the surgical team, led by the strict, ambitious star surgeon Ferman, are highly resistant. They believe that Ali’s severe social limitations, communication barriers, and sensory overloads make him unfit for the unpredictable, fast-paced world of emergency surgery. Thrown into a high-pressure environment, Ali must overcome structural prejudice, skeptical patients, and office politics. While most colleagues distance themselves, Nazlı, a warm-hearted assistant surgeon, extends a hand of friendship and helps him navigate social cues. As Ali performs medical miracles and saves lives that others had given up on, his presence challenges the cold professionalism of the hospital staff, forcing them to rediscover empathy and proving that his unique mind is not a liability, but a profound miracle.
