"Eşref Tek": Çağatay Ulusoy returns to his character in a new Prime Video series

Roughly four months after the end of "Eşref Rüya," production company TİMS&B Productions has announced a new project, "Eşref Tek," with Çağatay Ulusoy once again in the lead role. The announcement came with a poster featuring only Ulusoy and the words "Coming soon to Prime Video." "Eşref Rüya" said goodbye to screens with its 47th episode, which aired on June 10.

The new production is not described as a third season of "Eşref Rüya"; it is being prepared as a standalone, character-focused project. It will be released only on Prime Video rather than on television, and is planned to run for 8 episodes. An exact release date has not been announced yet.

The story will go back to Eşref's past, to the years when he was not yet the Eşref audiences know. According to reports, the series will show his path crossing with Kadir in Cyprus, his entry into Istanbul's underworld, and the years he spent searching for Rüya.

Görkem Sevindik, who played Kadir in "Eşref Rüya," is also in the cast; he is reported to be shuttling between Istanbul, where "Eşref Tek" is being filmed, and Adana, where "Güneşin Doğduğu Yer" continues shooting. According to information Turkish media attribute to IMDb, the young Eşref will be played by Çağan Efe Ak, who currently plays Aras in "Daha 17" and has drawn attention for his resemblance to Ulusoy. The name of Demet Özdemir, who played Nisan in "Eşref Rüya," is not among the cast announced so far.

Filming is planned to start on November 1. The project is backed by TİMS&B Productions, run by Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar, the same team that made "Eşref Rüya." Further casting announcements are expected.
