Last Summer

Plot: Selim Kara is an idealistic and uncompromising prosecutor who has dedicated his life to fighting organized crime. He receives an unexpected offer from an incarcerated mafia boss, Selçuk Taşkın: he agrees to testify as a key witness to bring down the syndicate, but only on the condition that Prosecutor Selim personally protects his son, Akgün. Akgün is an impulsive, dangerous, and rebellious young man who grew up in the underworld. Left with no choice, Selim takes Akgün to an elite seaside community in Izmir, where his own family is staying while facing a marital crisis. Akgün's arrival alters everyone's lives: intense feelings spark between him and Selim's daughter Yağmur, while Akgün begins to question his loyalty to his criminal roots. Trivia: The series is an original Turkish crime drama produced by O3 Medya, written by Deniz Dargı, Cem Görgeç, and Cenk Boğatur. The show earned widespread critical acclaim and audience praise for its brilliant acting performances and seamless blend of crime action with family drama, leading to international distribution across Latin America, the Middle East, and Europe. The main cast features acclaimed Turkish actors Alperen Duymaz, Hafsanur Sancaktutan, Ali Atay, and Funda Eryiğit. The remarkable onscreen chemistry between Alperen Duymaz and Hafsanur Sancaktutan turned their characters (Akgün and Yağmur) into one of the most celebrated Turkish TV couples of the year, earning the show multiple award nominations.
